Information Technology Applications is intended to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and skills. It is intended to enable students to be successful in all subjects across the all curricula where technology is utilized. Students will become familiar with Microsoft Office 2003. Schedule
Class Objectives:
Students will learn the following:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Safe, effective, and efficient internet searching.
- File management and maintenance.
- Document formatting, spreadsheet computing, database management, and presentation production.
Daily Requirements:
- Positive and hardworking attitude.
- 3 ring folder
- Writing utensils (pens, pencils)

Introduction to class
Learn document formatting using Word.
Complete units 1-7 from Sally Cashman Book. (Word)
Quarter 2 2008
Complete any work remaining in Word.
Introduce Microsoft Access.
Create, query, sort, and filter databases.
Complete Units 1-4 from Sally Cashman Book (Access)
Quarter 3 2009
Begin using Microsoft Excel.
Design spreadsheets with formulas, if statements, and conditions.
Complete Units 1-6 from Sally Cashman Book (Excel)
Quarter 4 2009
Complete any work from Excel Unit.
Begin creating presentations using PowerPoint.
Produce interactive PowerPoint presentations.
Insert, Edit, and place images on slides.
