FARM

Museum Visits

When you enter the FARM museum, the first thing that you do is view the Kellett Video.  This film is based on historic 8mm film shot by Glen and Leo Kellett between 1938 and 1945.  It was produced by the Farm And Ranch Museum in 1997, and acurately depicts the life of a North Platte Valley Farm during the time of transition between horse and tractor powered agricultrue.

The first exhibit is the irrigation display which features an United States Bureau of Reclamation Surveyor and Forman Shack used during the construction of the Gering Ft. Laramie and the Goshen Irrigation projects.  Another feature of the exhibit is a tower of a Valley Irrigation Company center pivot irrigation system.
