Museum expert visits FARM

Bruce Eldrege, executive director of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo. visited FARM and other local tourism venues to discuss a variety of issues.

FARM part of Nebraska's 2011 Passport Program

FARM is one of 33 attractions selected for the 2011 Nebraska Passport Program. The musuem is credited for a family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors to FARM with passports will get a special stamp and the venue will receive statewide promotion and recognition. Welcome the new visitors to our campus. 

 

Volunteers needed!

There are many volunteer opportunities at FARM during the spring and summer months to help with a variety of tasks and activities. Give us a call at 308-436-1989 if you would like to help.

 

Welcome......

Located in western Nebraska, the Farm And Ranch Museum offers an excellent look at High Plains agriculture of the past. The feature crops are sugar beets, dry beans, potatoes, ranching, irrigation, dryland farming and conservation tillage.

Admission charges are $3 for adults, children under 12 are free.

Starting May 1, 2011

Summer Hours: Monday - Saturday 9 a.m - 5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.

Starting Nov. 1, 2011
Winter Hours: Monday-Friday - 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

                         

We will open other times by appointment.

The museum exhibits include feature crops and general agriculture. At various times of the year we demonstrate agricultural practices and hold events. The Library/Archives holds an extensive collection of agricultural books, photos, equipment manuals, equipment literature  and oral histories. The museum Library/Archives holds collections of area farmers and agricultural businesses including Sishc Manufacturing, Lockwood Corporation, Great Western Sugar, and Dutton Implement Company.
