DECA is an organization that aims to teach high school and college students about the business and marketing world. Students are encouraged to get involved in their communities and reach out to local businesses to solve real world problems. On the regional, state, and even the national scale, DECA students will compete in presenting solutions to these real world probems that businesses face day to day, offering our students actual hands-on probem-solving experience that they will then carry with them into college and the business world after high school.
Gering High School acts as home to a proud DECA team, with students qualifying to national competition for the past 7 years and counting! Our team is sponsored by Mr. Broc Brown, our computer science and marketing teacher.
