Achievements

I have been involved in many clubs, organizations, and activities in the last three years of high school. They have been learning experiences that will help me now only now, but in the future.

KAY
            I was a member of KAY (Kansas Association for Youth) for two years, lettering in it for two years. In those two years I received the Distinguished Scholastic Achievement award and the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement award. This is an organization in which we were involved members of the community and toke part in activities such as food drives, state conferences, and leadership programs.

Vocal
            I was a member of the Vocal organization for three years, lettering twice with honors for excellent grades while involved. In which, we were the music department. We attended league and district music competitions in our Southwest Kansas region. My director was Mrs. Unruh.

SADD
            I was enrolled in SADD (Students Again Destructive Decisions). This is an organization in which we were involved in many activities involving the community and our school, promoting to be drug free.

Quiz Bowl
            I was an active member of Quiz Bowl for three years. We completed in various competitions in our region. We attended many league bowls, where we toke home many awards. I lettered in quiz bowl for all three years.

FCCLA
            I was an active member of FCCLA for only one year. FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. In this organization we explored the world around us by helping out at daycares, going to read to children during story time, supporting food drives, and collecting money for cancer patients. I was selected to go to Wichita Kansas for the State FCCLA conference and participate in the leadership conferences.

A-Team
            I was a member of A-Team for one year. A-team is a club in which it combines athletics and academics. It’s for those in sports and who have high grade point averages.

Track
            I was involved in track for three years, lettered all three years. I was given the Academic-Activities Award for High Plains League. I received the Distinguished Scholastic Achievement award and the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement award in track.

I-Safe
            I completed the I-Safe program in 2005 with the help of Kelly Simmons.

President’s Education Awards Program
            I received the Presidents Education in 2008 for Outstanding Academic Excellence.
